Sustainability

The Federation is working with Let's Go Zero to reduce its Carbon Footprint.  As part of this work, the school has introduced a "Sustainability Week" which took place w/c 17th March 2025 and is hoped will become an annual event.

The school will be conducting its own "Switch Off Fortnight" later in the year to teach the children about energy use and how switching off the lights and equipment in the classroom when leaving the room will have a positive impact on the carbon footprint.

Sustainability Week 2025

This year the children have planted 5 new fruit trees, created a wildflower area and planted bulbs around the school.  We're looking forward to watching everything grow over the next year!

The children have been enjoying Now Press Play to learn about the environment - kindly donated by the PTA.

We have also been learning about road safety through the Beep, Beep campaign, which links into reducing our carbon footprint by encouraging children to walk to school.
